JAY-Z [Part 2]

....the organisers tell us they're pushing the concert forward AN HOUR! Gawd, after almost 6hours of mind-numbing boredom and polite chit-chat, i had to wait ANOTHER HOUR?

Anyways the queue is starting to lengthen, but not at all as long as i expected for a Jay-Z concert...I mean, its JAY-Z!! Some show-offs from the press arrive 30 mins to show-time and walk by our queue/security cos they've got press-passes...DAMN THEM! Then i hear some lady yellin down the mic and a band playing. Rehearsals. URGGHHH!! Estelle was opening for Jay
She became my worst enemy then. I keep cussing her out to everyone's chagrin. Just as they're about to let us in, some guy hands out Estelle's album release flyers.. i tell him to "SHOVE IT".

They let us in..."Dont RUN, or u'll be kicked out", they tell us, but people still hot-leg it to get the best view.

Monkey-see, Monkey Do hehe.

Some wack-ass white-boy DJ bores us with his scratches for about 20mins and Estelle comes on.
My my..does she have some stage presence, for some weird reason, Estelle and I kept making eye-contact until she points her finger at me as if to say "You, come up on stage". HA!!

Your boy didnt think twice about it, with the help of a bouncer i got up on stage and we started BUMPING AND GRINDING...NO JOKE!! The crowd went CRAZY!!! Funny enough, i wasnt really shy, i just did my thing and thanked her.

I was now a FAN hehe, i swore to everyone around me that i'd buy her album now, her songs sounded so much sweeter after that(must go get it whennext im downtown), but they just rolled their eyes. 15 more mins and Jay bursts outta nowhere and kills the show

I look behind me and the concert hall is filled to capacity. He played some songs i didnt even know...i made sure i watched for the hand signals to his DJ & band he's famous for. I caught almost every single moment. He even pointed at me once trying to get me to look at his drummer's riff in the "Show Me What You Got" song. I'd actually planned and made Jay do that but thats a whole other story. His best buddy came out did their "secret handshake" which is kinda played out for me now...and did two songs. Memphis Bleek had a totally iced-out watch on him...i mean, not one teeny-weensy place on the watch that wasnt encrusted with white diamonds. V. Nice!

I tried alot to stand out from the crowd, e.g. when everyone was throwing up the Roc sign, i'd be the one with my hands down, i was secretly hoping he'd notice me and get me up on stage..so much for that wish. Anyway he rocked the crowd well, did that fake thing saying the show is over then comes back and gives the crowd a lil more then fades off. I still felt a lil robbed. Like i wanted a whole lot more, but hey he a busy dude, plus he probably had to leave for Glastonbury the next day anyway.

Twas an okay concert in all, was a bit disappointed though when i checked youtube and saw some of the stage effects he used in our concert, he'd used the exact same one last year in another concert. E.g. the one with Bono, hyping the crowd, comeon Jay, U are supposed to be the GREATEST! ah well...

For my first concert ever, it was a GREAT experience, THANKS JAY!
